Australian Chinese Consumers

Digital Media Consumption Behaviour

2020 Survey Report

Chinese consumers’ media

consumption behaviour in Australia has been through a significant

transformation in the past decade or so.

With more and more migrants and

students coming from Mainland China and Chinese digital giants expanding to

global markets, Australian Chinese consumers’ eyeballs have shifted from traditional forms of media to

online media outlets. Especially with the Gen Z and Millennials who grew up in

China during the internet booming era, they are more active on digital channels

than the older generations.

In late 2020, I Search Marketing

initiated an online survey to understand how Australian Chinese consume digital media nowadays.
